El falso alcanfor llegó a la costa pinamarense
Abstract
The presence of the false camphor Heterotheca subaxillaris (Lam.) Britton & Rusby is reported as the first record in the coastal area of the Province of Buenos Aires, where it was observed in the city of Pinamar in lots, slopes, streets and roads. It is an asteracea, annual or biannual aromatic herb up to 1 meter high, native to the dunes of the United States. The species is of recent appearance in the urban area, it is not observed in the frontal dunes and due to its botanical characteristics and great plasticity it could have the potential to become invasive. Monitoring is recommended.
