Abstract

This work analyzes and relates green areas of public space and their connecting roads in the town of Eng. Maschwitz of the Province of Buenos Aires through several indicators. Its purpose is to assess in an objective and subjective way the quality of infrastructures, management, and environmental and recreational potentials. To this end, four types of green areas were selected for assessment according to indices of frequent applicability to urban green infrastructures. On the other hand, the gray mobility infrastructures were characterized and defined and how they are related to these green spaces analyzed. The two green spaces with the highest management rate are plaza E. Mitre and Papa Francisco Park, being in turn the most satisfactory from the recreational experience. While the Educational Nature Reserve and the Arroyo Garín have a good degree of conservation and naturalness, but they are less used and more insecure. These results have a direct relationship with the connectivity of the green spaces analyzed, the mobility systems and user linkage. In some cases, they are inaccessible, poorly signposted or with little connectivity from the most urbanized areas. Therefore, the methodology used, and the different disciplinary approaches are necessary to understand and define the problems of the different types of infrastructures that occur in the territory. Consequently, they are necessary to establish a dialogue between the different territorial actors where management and the needs of the inhabitants are combined.
