Evidencias de validez y confiabilidad de la escala de Trastorno de Ansiedad Generalizada (GAD-7)

Resumen
El Trastorno de Ansiedad Generalizada (TAG) es considerado un problema de salud pública. A pesar de la prevalencia alta y el deterioro psicosocial que puede acompañar al TAG, el reconocimiento de los síntomas es relativamente bajo, y a menudo permanece sin ser detectado. Es por ello que el presente trabajo propone indagar las propiedades psicométricas de la versión traducida al español argentino de la escala de Trastorno por Ansiedad Generalizada (GAD-7). Este instrumento de 7 ítems evalúa la frecuencia en la que, durante las últimas 2 semanas, los sujetos manifestaron cada uno de los siete síntomas centrales del TAG. A partir de una muestra no probabilística integrada por 205 adultos argentinos con edades comprendidas entre los 19 y 73 años (ME=40,3; DE=14,5) de ambos sexos (68,3% mujeres y 31,7% varones), se llevó adelante la estimación de validez de constructo, la consistencia interna y validez externa. El AFC confirma que el modelo unifactorial se ajusta a los datos recabados en campo. El IFI, NNFI y CFI lograron valores superiores a .99 más el RMSEA, en torno a los .04 guarismos, indican un buen ajuste del modelo. La consistencia interna del instrumento (α= .88 y Ꞷ=.92) evidencia guarismos adecuados con ambos indicadores. La validez externa de la escala evidencia una fuerte y significativa relación directa con los constructos de la escala de neuroticismo de MINI IPIP y con DERS-16. Se concluye que el presente estudio aporta suficientes evidencias de validez y confiabilidad para la aplicación de este instrumento en el contexto local.
