Abstract

Triangulation is a methodological procedure widely used in social sciences, however, in engineering, its emphasis is given in a different way. This work is interested in demonstrating the use, even if intuitive, of triangulation procedures in engineering research. The proposal is to analyze the textual construction of the master dissertation, which includes from the introduction chapter, the methodology chapter and the chapter of analysis and results, to understand if the researcher engineer prevails from the theoretical methodological framework of triangulation as a construction procedure and basis of scientific work. The methodology of the research is presented as a way of approaching the subject, as qualitative, from the point of view of its objectives, as descriptive and with respect to technical procedures, it is characterized as bibliographical.
